Welcome, I’m Dean! I was born in New York and have spent most of my life in Connecticut, where I’ve built a career centered on creative, thoughtful work that blends strategy, communication, and storytelling.
My path into marketing started at UConn, where I earned a degree in Economics with a concentration in marketing. While there, I handled social media and communications for my fraternity, which sparked my interest in how messaging, design, and content shape the way people connect with brands and ideas. That interest quickly turned into real-world experience, from marketing for a small bar and restaurant on campus to landing my first full-time role after graduation.
Early in my career, I held hands-on marketing roles in the fintech and nonprofit sectors, where I developed campaigns, created content, and supported growing organizations. A few years in, I made a shift into the consulting world. While I stayed closely connected to marketing and communications, I also sharpened my project management, client communication, and strategic thinking skills. That experience broadened my perspective and helped shape how I work today.
Now, I collaborate with individuals and organizations on creative projects that are practical, intentional, and thoughtfully designed. I enjoy helping people clarify their message, bring ideas to life, and build things they’re genuinely proud of.
Outside of work, I stay active and curious. I love football and soccer (go Eagles and Man City), playing basketball, and golfing—don’t ask me about my handicap, it’s still a work in progress. I spend time in the gym, hiking around New Haven County, taking photos, trying new coffee shops with my girlfriend, and unwinding with Survivor or Next Level Chef, with Game of Thrones still holding the top spot.
Travel has become especially meaningful to me as an adult. Being able to explore new places and experience different cultures is something I truly value, and it’s changed how I see the world and my everyday life. It has helped me grow, appreciate new perspectives, and stay open-minded in ways that carry over into both my personal and professional life.
All of this, along with my professional experience and love for writing, inspired the blog on this site. It’s a space where I share ideas, experiences, and the occasional unsolicited take on the things I enjoy and the world around me.
If you’re here for professional support, I’d love to connect. And if you’re browsing or reaching out as a peer, that’s more than welcome, too. In a world that feels increasingly digital and distant, there’s real value in simply connecting.
